First days in our English classroom

We started the school year by revising what we learnt last year in a fun, active and cooperative way. During these first lessons, pupils had the chance to remember vocabulary and simple structures, speak English and feel confident again after the holidays.

O curso comezou de xeito lúdico e participativo, permitindo ao alumnado recordar vocabulario e estruturas coñecidas, falar en inglés e recuperar confianza tras as vacacións.

In 1st and 2nd Primary, we practised greetings and farewells with games such as Echo Game, Freeze Game and Dice Game. These activities helped pupils listen, speak and take part in both whole-class and small-group activities.

En 1º e 2º de Primaria, practicamos os saúdos e despedidas a través de xogos como Echo Game, Freeze Game e Dice Game, favorecendo a participación e a interacción oral.

In 5th and 6th Primary, we also started the first activities of our gamified project. With games such as Pass the Spaceship and Find Someone Who…, pupils revised previous learning, asked questions to their classmates and used English in simple real-life communication.

En 5º e 6º de Primaria comezamos actividades de gamificación con xogos como Pass the Spaceship e Find Someone Who…, onde o alumnado repasou contidos e utilizou o inglés en comunicación sinxela.

We also started our All About Me Puzzle. Each pupil is preparing a puzzle piece about themselves. Later, all the pieces will create one big class puzzle. This activity will also help them prepare a short oral presentation before the house sorting.

Ademais, cada alumno/a está preparando unha peza para o All About Me Puzzle, que formará un quebracabezas do grupo para unha presentación oral antes do sorteo das casas.

Playing, speaking, sharing and learning together are the first steps in this new adventure.
