Students in level 6 have been working with this proyect related to the Fifa World Cup South Africa 2010 since the begining of the first term .
That was my students knew before starting the project.
Lesson 1
Let´s start listening to the song that the Spanish Football Team heard in the final played on 11 July 2010 in the Soccer City.

There are different cultures and languages in South Africa. How many languages are spoken in South Africa?
Although most South Africans speak English,Afrikaans is spoken by the majority of white and Coloured South Africans (5 983 420 numbers of speakers) . Afrikaans is a language originated mainly from Dutch.

Lesson 5
The matches were played in ten stadiums in nine host cities around the countries, with the final played at the Soccer City Stadium in South Africa´s largest city. What is the name of this city?
And, how many teams participated in this football championship?
In pairs, students had to cross out the teams that didn´t participate in the FIFA WORLD CUP 201O and then, they clasified them on a map. Before doing it, we talked about types of maps.
Lesson 6
After reviewing the parts of the boby and the equipment words, it´s time to talk about the Spanish footballers. They are the champions.
