Valantine’s Day is here and our polar bear is in love!
This is one of the most famous winter celebration so, we decided to involve Valantine’s Day in our winter project. We celebrated it in class with some cute artcrafts.

It’s time to decorate our class. So, let’s get on with it!
This year Halloween was celebrated following some measures taken to make our school a Covid-free space because Covid-19 can’t stop us from learning, having fun and sharing meaningful moments!!!
We organized our typical Pumpkin contest in a different way but, I have to say that it was incredibly spooky and creative.

Students in kindergarten and Primary made different art crafts related to the activities developed during this week in their classrooms.
Winter is about to finish and I don’t want to say it goodbaye without looking back over the last month and remembering some significant moments we have spent working on our Winter Project.
This topic was explored through songs, games and art crafts which allowed them to learn a lot of things related to this season (clothes, weather, instructions, numbers, colours, feelings,..) in an easy and fun way.
O inverno está a piques de rematar e non quero despedilo sen antes botar unha ollada ao traballo que estivemos facendo este último mes co noso proxecto sobre o inverno. A través de cancións, xogos e manualidades traballamos esta temática e aprendemos conceptos relacionados con esta estación(o tempo, a roupa,…), instruccións e revisamos as cores e os números dun xeito sinxelo e divertido. Pero asegúrovos que non hai nada mellor que unha guerra de bolas de neve para arrancar un gran sorriso aos cativos. Comprobado!!!!!
This is how we celebrated Easter in kindergarten. We had a great time!
We have just finished our short project about winter based on the book called The first Day of Winter. We enjoyed creating our own books, building up a snowman and learning some fun songs about snowflakes and snowmen. Take a look at this video.
Here’s a super cute and easy homemade Christmas ornament for the kids to make.You can try them at home!
Aqui vos deixo un adorable e doado adorno para decorar a árbore en Nadal que podedes facer na casa cos vosos cativos.
This last week we used popsicle sticks to make some Christmas ornaments. We have already used popsicle sticks to make different art craft before but this time we made ornaments shaped like a Christmas tree and a star!
Esta derradeira semana usamos palitos de madera para realizar adornos de Nadal. Algunhas veces empregamos este material para realizar diferentes manualidades pero, neste caso, realizamos adornos con forma de árbore de Nadal e de estrela.
1. Glue three green popsicle sticks into a triangle using a hot glue gun. We need two triangles to make a star.
2.Cut another small piece of string to make a loop for hanging. Glue or tape this to the top back of your ornament.
3. Add any embellishments. I added little golden or silver stars and a big one on the top of our trees.
1. Pegar tres palillos formando un triángulo con pegamento quente.
2. Cortar un trozo de lazo ou corda e pegalo por detrás da parte superior do triángulo para poder colgalo.
3. Decoralo con purpurina, pegatinas,… Nos engadimos unha estrela grande na parte superior da árbore.
We continue working on insects in a fun way.
I started this activity by having children watch “The very hungry caterpillar” film. It was fantastic to see how interested my kids got watching the film version of this Eric Carle’s book. They liked it so much that I had to read them the story each time we took the activity up.
Comezamos esta actividade coa película do libro de Eric Carle “A oruga glotona”. Foi fantástico ver o entusiasmados que estaban todos con esta historia e, tanto lles gustou, que tiven que lerlles o conto cada vez que retomabamos a actividade.
This is a classic but very easy and simple art craft.
Material needed/ Material necesario
Empty egg cartons (each kid needs a row)/Cartóns de ovos baleiros (cada rapaz necesita unha fila)
Green and red paint/Pintura verde e vermella
Paintbrushes/Pinceis
Coloured pipe cleaners/Limpiadores de pipas de cores
Wiggle eyes/Ollos móbiles
And don’t forget wipes and towel papers.
E non esquezades toalliñas húmidas e papel.
You can also use this activity to review colours and some parts of the body.
Ademais podedes aproveitar esta actividade para revisar as cores e algunhas partes do corpo.
