Let’s learn the autumn colours and numbers. Are you ready?
It’s time to have time!!!
Autumn is here again and, we are going to start a new project in kindergarten.
Before going to sleep, Brown Bear help us get to know this wonderful season better! Are you ready? Open your eyes and your ears, silence and…I’ll begin..
Winter is here again! But Autumn left in kindergarten a wide variety of fun activities, crafts, songs , TPR activities and a colourful story called “Brown Bear, What do you see?”
O inverno xa voltou pero o outono nos deixou unha chea de actividades, cancións e un maravilloso conto titulado “Brown Bear, What do you see?”
Based on an Eric Carle’s story published in 1967, I designed this story to help children associate colours and meaning to objects through colourful pictures and a simple repetitive language. This rhythmic story is a perfect introduction to looking and learning about colours, numbers, animals and other common fall things.
After working with this book, my children were able to tell the story and sing the song by their own. It was fantastic!
This project offers a wide range of math, literary skills, working across the curriculum to incorporate play, imagination and art.
Autumn brings new colours thanks to the trees. Trees are beautifull in Fall: red, yellow and brown leaves on the branches and falling down. Red, yellow and brown leaves on the ground. Red, yellow and brown leaves blowing in the breeze. It’s so funny!
As you know, my 4/5-years-old children are developing an Etwinning Project called “Amazing maths”. During this term, we are working with shapes so, we designed an activity which allowed us to work both topics at the same time: The Autumn Shape Trees
Follas vermellas, amarelas e marróns no chan. Follas vermellas, amarelas e marróns voando na brisa.
Now, we are ready to make our special Autumn trees.
Agora xa estamos preparados para facer as nosa árbores especiais de outono.
The children’s task was to colour the trunk and then to cut and glue the shapes so as to represent the leaves from the tree in Autumn .We took this opportunity to review colours and shapes.
A tarefa dos rapaces consistiu en colorear o tronco e recortar e pegar as figuras xeométricas que representan as follas das árbores en outono.Aproveitamos a ocasión para repasar as cores e as figuras xeométricas.
Here you have our trees!

Estamos a preparar un video coa nosa versión desta canción. Xa queda pouco…
As you know, we are working on a European project about ABCs. This term my students have to learn words related to Autumn and spell them.
A scarecrow is one of the things Autumn see in our tale. With this cute song, children can learn some action in a fun way. We’ll also use our own version of this song to learn some parts of face.
