If you are teaching how to talk about the weather, you can use our new spinner. It focuses on the vocabulary worked in our unit 3 : raining, sunny, snowing, foggy,windy, cloudy, hot and cold.
Students in Level 1 started making this spinner today. They traced, coloured and cut them, but previously, we practiced the new vocabulary with some oral games and singing this funny song. They enjoyed it! Do you dare to sing it along with us? Try it!

Pirate Tobee and Caitie decide carve different faces in their pumpkins, but first we should practise counting by singing a song about different pumpkins faces called “5 Little Pumpkins!. Pirate Tobee loves the song. Enjoy it!!!

Bos días a tod@s. Xa tendes no blogue as actividades para este período de cuarentena. Tende paciencia porque a internet anda algo saturada estes días.
Intentei deseñar unhas fichas doadas e amenas para repasar contidos xa traballados na clase. Cando as teñades feitas, tedes que mas mandar a ser posible nos plazos marcados para revisalas. Deixarei algún comentario no blogue.E vós tamén podedes consultar todo o que queirades.
Non se trata de estar todo o día pegado ao ordenador. É fundamental marcar unhas rutinas e uns tempos para cada unha delas. Importantel deixar momentos para o xogo e o tempo de descanso. Non é cuestión de saturarse.
Os que teñan a sorte de ter unha terraza ou un xardín, aproveitádeo perotende en conta que outra maneira de moverse é axudar nas tarefas da casa: facer a cama; ordenar a habitación; poñer e recoller a mesa;colocar a roupa limpa nos armarios,….
Ademáis, podemos ler, escoitar música, pintar, xogar ás cartas ou xogos de mesa,facer algunha manualidade, falar cos nosos maiores que teñen moito que contarnos,..

Saint Patrick´s Day is celebrated each year on March 17th. In Ireland, Saint Patrick´s Day is a national holiday. Saint Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. He was the one who brought Christianity to the Irish. He taught many of the people of Ireland to read and write. Saint Patrick was born in the year 385 and died on March 17th around the year 460.
Although it began in Ireland, Saint Patrick´s Day is celebrated in countries around the world.

Aínda que comenzou a celebrarse en Irlanda, hoxe en día, San Patricio celébrase en países ó longo de todo o mundo.
Many people wear green on this day. Green is an Irish colour for a few reasons.
Firstly because the green shamrock leaf is a symbol of Saint Patrick and Ireland. Shamrock is the common name for several kind of three-leafed clovers native to Ireland.
Three is Ireland´s magic number and the Irish say three-leafed shamrocks bring good luck.

O tres é o número máxico irlandés. Os irlandeses din que os trevos de tres follas traen boa sorte.
Leprechauns are tiny people dressed in green and they collect pots of gold. The legend says that if you catch a leprechaun, he will lead you to his pot of gold. Leprechauns hide their pots of gold at the end of the rainbow.——————————————————————————————————–
Hai algunhas lendas asociadas o Día de San Patricio. Unha delas vai sobre uns pequenos duendes vestidos de verde chamados “leprechauns” que ten por aficción xuntar potas cheas de moedas de ouro. Dise que se consegues coller a un destes seres, éste levarate onde ten a súa pota de ouro. Os duendes agochan os seus tesouros ó final do arco da vella. E, se tes a sorte de atopar a un, no lle quites ollo pois desaparecerá con todo o seu ouro.

“Acción de grazas” é unha celebración de América do Norte. Ten lugar nos EEUU o cuarto xoves de cada mes de novembro e o segundo luns de outubro en Canadá. A maioría das persoas nos Estados Unidos reúnense coa familia para cear. A comida típica é pavo con salsa de cereixa negra, verduras, patacas, maíz, cabaza, etc e de postre pastel de mazá ou de pataca doce. Despois da comida, o típico é ver un partido de fútbol americano ou botar unha sesta.
Na súa orixe, era unha festa para dar grazas a Deus por un bo ano de colleita. Comezou a celebrarse en 1621: os peregrinos do Mayflower que chegaron a EEUU non tiñan comida no seu primeiro inverno en América e poideron sobrevivir grazas á axuda dos indios. Ó ano seguinte, decidiron compartir a súa comida con eles para devolverlles o favor.

“Thanksgiving” is a celebration from North America. It takes place on the fourth Thursday of November in the USA and on the second Monday of October in Canada. The most of the people join their family in order to have dinner. The traditional meal is turkey with cranberry sauce, vegetables, mashed potatoes, corn, pumpkins and so on. And apple and sweet potato pie for dessert. After dinner, it’s very typical to watch an American football game on TV or just take a nap.
Originally it was a celebration to give thanks to God for the harvest. The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621. The Mayflower pilgrims, who arrived in America in 1620, didn’t have enough food for winter and they survived thanks to the help of Indians. Next year, they decided to share their own food with them to express gratitude.
