DO YOU KNOW? – COUNTRY RECORDS

Exploring the world through English

Our Year 6 students have become cultural reporters once again in a new episode of Do You Know?

This time, they investigated amazing country records from around the world. Working in teams, they searched for information, selected interesting facts, and wrote the script for their own TV programme.

O alumnado de 6º de Primaria converteuse en reporteiros culturais investigando sorprendentes récords de diferentes países do mundo para o programa Do You Know?, buscando información e elaborando o seu propio guión.

During this project, students practised reading, writing, speaking and teamwork while using English in a meaningful and creative way. They learned how to find reliable information, organize ideas and communicate them clearly to an audience.

One of the most special parts of this project was discovering more about the countries of origin of some of our classmates. Through their research, students shared facts about different cultures, traditions, landmarks and achievements, helping everyone learn more about the diversity that enriches our classroom.

Neste proxecto, practicaron habilidades de lectura, escritura, expresión oral e traballo cooperativo en inglés, aprendendo a buscar información e comunicar ideas. Destacou o coñecemento dos países de compañeiras, compartindo información sobre culturas, tradicións e logros, promovendo o respecto pola diversidade na aula.

Este tipo de proxectos favorece o desenvolvemento de competencias comunicativas, dixitais, creativas, de traballo en equipo, respecto á diversidade cultural e confianza para falar en público.

This episode marks the last great project of the school year, bringing together many of the skills and knowledge our students have developed throughout their magical journey at Hogwarts.
