Interviews can be a great resource for writing, speaking and listening practise in the ESL classroom. Especially when the interviewees are the older students. It’s an enriching experience!!!!
Before starting, we take a few minutes to do a grammar and vocabulary review in order to make sure if they know how to ask questions and the vocabulary they have to use.
Then, they have to establish the information they want to get and according to them, they prepare their interview questions on their notebooks.
It’s also beneficial to spend a few minutes talking about how they must conduct the interview, remembering some good interview manners like listening carefully or saying thank you at the end.
