Halloween arrived in our English classroom full of colours, numbers, little spiders and lots of fun!
This time, we enjoyed a hands-on activity to learn and practise numbers and colours in English through play.
Halloween chegou á nosa aula de inglés cunha actividade divertida para aprender os números e as cores en inglés a través do xogo.
🔢 Our little learners became expert tower builders! Using linking cubes, they had to identify each spider’s colour, recognise the number and build a tower with the correct number of cubes.
Os máis pequenos aprenderon a identificar cores e números para construir torres con cubos encaixables.
🏙️ Our older learners took on a different challenge! They used LEGO bricks to build magical cities full of colourful buildings of different heights, using their creativity, counting skills and English vocabulary.
Os maiores usaron pezas de LEGO para construír cidades máxicas con edificios de distintas cores e alturas, aplicando a creatividade, o conteo e o vocabulario en inglés.
Through these activities, we practised matching numbers to quantities, recognising colours, developing fine motor skills, improving concentration and strengthening hand-eye coordination.
And we did all this while learning English in a natural, active and fun way!
Because when we play, build and explore, we learn too! 💜

- 🕷️ What colour is the spider? — It’s red!
- 🔢 What number is it? — It’s five!
- 🧱 How many cubes? — Five cubes!
- 🌈 Let’s build a tower! — Imos construír unha torre!
- 🏙️ Let’s build a magic city! — Imos construír unha cidade máxica!
- ✨ Great job! — Bo traballo!
