🎯 Objective: Practice asking and answering questions using superlatives in English.
🎡 Wordwall spinning wheel – The game is played using a Wordwall spinning wheel. Each section of the wheel contains a question related to superlatives.
📝 How to play:
1️⃣ Form groups – Divide the class into four groups.
2️⃣ Spin the wheel – One group spins the Wordwall wheel. The wheel will land on a random question.
3️⃣ Ask the question – The group reads the question aloud, making sure to use the correct superlative structure (e.g., Who is the tallest person in the class?)
4️⃣ Stealing the question! – If the asking group does not form the question correctly, another group can press the buzzer (or raise their hand quickly) to steal the turn and ask the question correctly.
- The stealing group earns 1 point for making the correct question.
- The stolen question is then answered by the originally chosen group.
5️⃣ Answering the question – The chosen group must answer: (e.g., Juan is the tallest person in the class)
- If the question is individual, one student answers.
- If the question is for the whole group, they discuss and agree on the answer.
6️⃣ Stealing the answer! – If the answering group does not give a correct answer, another group can press the buzzer to steal the turn and give the correct answer.
- The stealing group earns 1 point for the correct answer.
- If no one gets it right, the turn moves to the next group.
7️⃣ Points system – A total of 2 points can be earned per turn:
- 1 point for forming the correct question.
- 1 point for giving the correct answer.
8️⃣ Next turn – The answering group (whether original or stealing) picks the next number and asks a new question.
9️⃣ Winning the game – The group with the most points at the end wins! 🏆
