WINTER SONGS PLAYLIST

Singing songs with preschoolers is a great way to introduce children to rhythm, rhyme, and singing. Furthermore, it also is great for the following benefits:

  • Language Development – Songs introduce new vocabulary words to students, helps with pronunciation, and improves comprehension.
  • Social Skills – Singing in a group, such as circle time, is great for interaction with classmates, cooperation, and building a sense of community.
  • Memory Since songs often have repetitive elements, singing helps with memory!
  • Motor Skills – A lot of preschool songs have actions to accompany the words. This is a fun way to incorporate gross motor skills.
  • Literacy – Songs can help with pre-reading skills, like rhyming and phonemic awareness.
