Kids love playing games in class. ESL card games are a great way to get students talking, and are incredibly versatile. Card games can be played with virtually any vocabulary, grammar point, or sentence structure. Keeping some game cards handy can also be very useful when your lesson doesn’t quite go as planned.

This is a guessing card game played with two different sets of cards (character cards and speaking/question cards).

How to play?
In version 1, kids try to guess the right character by asking yes/no questions.
In version 2, kids listen to the description, then try to guess the right character. This game can be played in pairs, small teams or whole class.
