Today our classroom turned into a mystery zone. To finish our unit, we transformed the classroom into an Action Zone to practice everything we learned about furniture, animals, and those tricky prepositions (in, on, under).
Our goal was simple but challenging: use our Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing skills to solve the mystery of the red ball!

Hoxe rematamos a nosa unidade de inglés dun xeito moi especial: transformamos a aula nunha zona de acción con 4 estacións de aprendizaxe. O obxectivo era poñer en práctica todo o aprendido sobre as preposicións (in, on, under), o mobiliario e os animais.
A través de catro retos en parellas, os alumnos e alumnas practicaron a expresión oral, a lectura e a escritura.
Our 4 Learning Stations
The students worked in pairs, spending 10 minutes at each station. It was fast, fun, and full of English!
Spot Sentences Challenge 📝 In this station, students picked a card and looked for the red ball. One student said the location out loud, while the partner used word cards to build the sentence and write it down. Great teamwork!

Spot Sentence Challenge: Construíndo e escribindo frases sobre a pelota.
Tic-Tac-Toe (Noughts and Crosses) ❌⭕ A classic game with an English twist! To place their mark, students had to say a full sentence, like: “The red ball is on the table.” 3. Back and Forth: The Board Game 🎲 Students rolled the dice and raced to the finish line. Every square had a hidden surprise. They practiced sentences like: “The spider is on the sofa” or “The cat is under the bed.”

Tic-Tac-Toe: O clásico tres en raia, pero falando sempre en inglés!
Flashlight Maze Mission 🔦 This was the favorite! Students navigated a paper maze. When they reached the center, they used a flashlight to reveal a secret image. Then, they had to find the matching sentence card. Total mystery!

Flashlight Maze Mission: A favorita! Buscar debuxos ocultos con lanternas nun labirinto.
Back and Forth: The Board Game 🎲 Students rolled the dice to race to the finish line. Each square had a challenge. They practiced structures like: “The spider is on the sofa” or “The cat is under the bed.”

Back and Forth: Unha carreira con dados e taboleiro.
Why do we use “Learning Stations”?
Closing a unit with these active stations has amazing benefits for the children:
- Confidence: Playing games lowers anxiety, helping them speak English more naturally and without fear.
- Movement & Memory: Connecting physical actions (like using a flashlight or rolling dice) with language helps the brain remember new words better.
- Teamwork: Working in pairs encourages students to help each other and learn from their peers.
- Variety: With 10-minute rotations, students stay focused, excited, and 100% engaged.
Por que usamos este método? Estas sesións de peche axudan a que os nenos e nenas gañen confianza ao aprender xogando, melloren a súa memoria grazas ao movemento e aprendan a traballar en equipo.
