In Mission 2, inspired by Harry Potter, we had an important challenge. We had to find a powerful artefact hidden in Hogwarts. To get it, we needed a magical key. And to earn the key, we had to write about our weekend routines.
First, in Level 1: Plan your work, we organised what we do on Saturday and Sunday (morning, afternoon and evening). We also wrote how often we do these activities. We used weekend and free time vocabulary.
Then, in Level 2, we wrote a draft using the Present Simple and adverbs of frequency.
In Level 3, we reviewed our diary. We corrected spelling and grammar mistakes, improved punctuation and added magical details. After that, we wrote the final version neatly and decorated it.
In Level 4, we presented our diary to the class as if we were speaking in the Great Hall. We spoke clearly and looked at the audience.
At the end, we completed a self-assessment. We reflected on:
- Our planning.
- Our use of Present Simple.
- Our use of adverbs of frequency.
- What we enjoyed most.
- What was difficult.
- How much help we needed.
Mission 2 is complete… and we are closer to discovering the next powerful artefact!
