Race Game – Learning English While Playing!

Today we want to share a fun Race Game created with Genially to practise listening comprehension and vocabulary in a playful way.

This game is designed for three different year groups, each one with its own vocabulary topic:

• 1st Grade → Pets

• 2nd Grade → Clothes

• 3rd Grade → Places in town

Pupils have to listen carefully to the audio and choose the correct picture before the time is over. If they choose the right option in time, they move forward in the race.

This game can be used as a warm-up to start the lesson with energy or as a reinforcement activity to review vocabulary, either individually, in pairs or in small groups.

Hoxe compartimos un Race Game creado con Genially para traballar a comprensión oral e o vocabulario dun xeito lúdico e motivador. O xogo está pensado para tres cursos: en 1º de Primaria trabállanse os pets, en 2º o vocabulario de clothes e en 3º places in town. O alumnado debe escoitar atentamente o audio e escoller o debuxo correcto antes de que se acabe o tempo. Se acerta dentro do tempo, avanza na carreira. Pódese empregar como actividade de inicio ou como reforzo do vocabulario, de maneira individual, por parellas ou en pequenos grupos. Xogar, escoitar e reaccionar rápido tamén é aprender.
