A Spooky Sound Story for 2nd Grade
This week, our 2nd grade pupils listened to the spooky story “What’s in the Witch’s House?”, inspired by Nick Sharratt’s book “What’s in the Witch’s Kitchen?”
It is a sound story full of Halloween surprises and funny noises: creak! whoooosh! bubble, bubble!
Through this story, pupils practise:
- Vocabulary about rooms and furniture.
- Listening and speaking skills using questions like What can you see? and Where is it?
- Prepositions of place in a playful and interactive way.
They also learn to listen carefully, make predictions, and enjoy English through imagination, rhythm, and sound.
