Easter Egg Hunt with Bee-Bots


Our first coding adventure in English class!

This Easter, our 1st and 2nd grade students had a very special challenge: finding Easter eggs using Bee-Bots!
It was our first time using these little robots, and we turned our classroom into a giant Easter board full of surprises.

Nesta Semana Santa, o alumnado de 1.º e 2.º de primaria tivo un reto moi especial: atopar ovos de Pascua usando Bee-Bots!
Era a primeira vez que traballábamos con estes pequenos robots, e transformamos a aula nun gran taboleiro de Pascua cheo de sorpresas.

Learning goals

  • Work on basic programming and computational thinking.
  • Practice teamwork and communication in English.
  • Enjoy learning through games and technology!

  • Iniciarse no pensamento computacional e a programación básica.

How did it work?

Each group received a secret mission, like “Find the yellow egg” or “Go to number six”. They had to program the Bee-Bot to move to the correct square. If they made a mistake, they worked together to fix it and try again.

Cada grupo recibía unha misión secreta, como “Find the yellow egg” ou “Go to number six”. Tiñan que programar o Bee-Bot para chegar á casiña correcta. Se se equivocaban, analizaban o erro e volvían tentalo xuntos.

Feedback as a group

Since this was our first time with Bee-Bots, we finished with a group reflection. We talked about what we liked, what was hard, and what we want to try next time.

We had so much fun learning through play! This Easter Egg Hunt was the perfect mix of English, coding, and teamwork. The children were the true stars, exploring, solving and laughing together

Aprendimos moito e pasámolo xenial! Esta Busca dos Ovos de Pascua foi unha mestura perfecta de inglés, programación e traballo en equipo. Os nenos e nenas foron os verdadeiros protagonistas, explorando, resolvendo e rindo xuntos.
