Mission 3:The Riddle of the Forgotten Professor
In our 4th grade English class, students completed a fun writing activity for International Women’s Day (8M). Using Hogwarts as our setting, we celebrated women’s achievements through storytelling and language learning!
Na aula de inglés, o alumnado de 4º de Primaria completou unha misión de escritura moi especial para conmemorar o Día Internacional da Muller (8M). Ambientada en Hogwarts, esta aventura serviunos para poñer en valor o traballo das mulleres e practicar o inglés de forma creativa.
🎯 Mission Goal:
To write a short composition about a woman who works at Hogwarts, using the present simple in third person, descriptive vocabulary, and clear text structure.
Escribir unha pequena composición sobre unha muller que traballa en Hogwarts, usando o presente simple en terceira persoa, vocabulario descritivo e unha estrutura clara.
🔮 Storyline:
A wise witch, one of Hogwarts’ first female teachers, possesses a hidden magical artifact. To obtain the key for the next mission, one must accurately describe the role of a woman working at Hogwarts.
Unha meiga sabia, unha das primeiras profesoras de Hogwarts, posúe un artefacto máxico agochado. Para conseguir a chave que permite avanzar á seguinte misión, cómpre describir con precisión o traballo dunha muller que desempeñe un papel en Hogwarts.
📝 Final Product:
A creative written piece about a female character, her job, and why her work is important.
Un texto creativo sobre unha personaxe feminina, o seu oficio e a súa importancia.
🚀 Mission Phases & Skills:
1️⃣ Interview and fill in the character sheet
Skills: speaking, listening, gathering and organizing information.
Students asked a classmate questions to complete a technical sheet about one of the women working at Hogwarts.
2️⃣ Choose the correct magical card
Skills: reading comprehension, critical thinking.
They had to match their character with the right magical info card to get extra details.
3️⃣ Write and revise the draft
Skills: writing, grammar, peer feedback.
Students created a first version based on the information they collected and revised it to be clearer and more accurate.
4️⃣ Create and present the final text
Skills: final editing, presentation, public speaking.
They prepared the clean version and presented it to the class to unlock the next magical key!

Habilidades: expresión oral, comprensión oral, organización da información.
2️⃣ Escolla da tarxeta máxica correcta
Habilidades: comprensión lectora, pensamento crítico.
3️⃣ Redacción e revisión do borrador
Habilidades: expresión escrita, gramática, revisión entre iguais.
4️⃣ Versión final e presentación
Habilidades: edición final, expresión oral.
✅ At the end, each student completed a self-assessment to reflect on their learning and writing process.
Ao rematar, cada estudante cubriu unha autoavaliación para reflexionar sobre o seu proceso de aprendizaxe.
