Mission 3: ” Find the Map, Save Ginny!”


🔮 Mission narrative

Before entering the Chamber of Secrets, Harry and Ron find out that Ginny, Ron’s sister, has been kidnapped by Lord Voldemort, who wants to take her life force. To find her, they need the Marauder’s Map, a magical map that shows all the places in Hogwarts and its secret passages.

Antes de entrar na Cámara dos Segredos, Harry e Ron descobren que Ginny, a irmá de Ron, foi secuestrada por Lord Voldemort, que quere roubarlle a súa forza vital. Para atopala, necesitan o Mapa do Merodeador, un documento máxico que mostra todos os lugares de Hogwarts e os seus pasadizos secretos.


🎯 Mission objectives

  • Work on vocabulary about places in a town
  • Use key grammar structures like “There is / There isn’t”, the connector “and”, and expressions like “I go by…”, “My favourite place is…”
  • Organise ideas in a clear and structured text
  • Improve written expression in English
  • Foster autonomy, creativity, and neat presentation
  • Traballar o vocabulario dos lugares da cidade (places in a town)
  • Empregar estruturas como “There is / There isn’t”, o conector “and” e frases como “I go by…”, “My favourite place is…”
  • Mellorar a expresión escrita en inglés
  • Organizar ideas nun texto claro e estruturado
  • Desenvolver a autonomía, creatividade e coidado na presentación

🗺️ Final product: the magic map

Each student created their own magical town, illustrating and describing their favourite places. The map had to include:

  • Between 5 and 7 places that there are and 2 that there aren’t
  • Well-written descriptive sentences
  • A structured text in clear paragraphs and neat presentation

Cada estudante deseñou a súa cidade máxica, ilustrando e describindo os seus lugares favoritos. O mapa debía incluír:

  • Entre 5 e 7 lugares que hai e 2 que non hai
  • Frases descritivas ben escritas
  • Un texto estruturado en parágrafos e presentado con coidado

  1. 📋 Planning
    They thought about and designed their town. They chose the places and planned key sentences.
  2. ✍️ Draft
    They wrote their sentences using “There is / There isn’t”, “and”, “I go by…”, “My favourite…”
  3. 🎨 the map
    They illustrated the town, organised the images clearly and added their written texts.
  4. 🗣️ Presentation.
    They presented their maps to their classmates, sharing their magical places.

    Pensaron e deseñaron a súa cidade. Elixiron os lugares e prepararon as frases clave.

    Ilustraron a cidade, organizaron ben as imaxes e engadiron a información escrita.

    Explicaron o seu mapa aos compañeiros e compañeiras, compartindo os lugares máxicos.

🌟 A happy ending

All the students completed the magic map successfully!
Thanks to their great effort, Harry and Ron found Ginny and are now ready to move on to the next magical mission at Hogwarts.
