Our gamification project continues, and the students have finished the second mission to find Hogwarts’ lost artifacts! Last month, they used their English skills to earn a new magical key: the Key of Routines.
This special key helped them move on to the next mission,, but first, they had to complete a challenge from Professor Flitwick.
O noso proxecto de gamificación deste ano segue avanzando. O alumnado xa completou a segunda misión na súa busca dos artefactos perdidos de Hogwarts. O mes pasado, probaron as súas habilidades en inglés para conseguir unha nova chave máxica: a Chave das Rutinas. Este obxecto encantado axudou a desbloquear pistas sobre o artefacto agochado, pero para conseguilo, tiveron que pasar un reto especial do profesor Flitwick.
🔑 The Mission: Earning the Key of Routines
Professor Flitwick explained that this key was connected to time and daily routines, so to get it, students had to write in English about their weekend activities and how often they do them, using the present simple and frequency adverbs (always, sometimes, never…).
O profesor Flitwick explicou que esta chave estaba ligada ao tempo e ás rutinas diarias, así que para obtela, o alumnado debía escribir en inglés sobre as súas actividades de fin de semana, utilizando correctamente o presente simple e os adverbios de frecuencia (always, sometimes, never…).
✍️ Steps to Complete the Mission:
1️⃣ Planning: They thought about their weekend activities and wrote down ideas.
2️⃣ Writing the draft: They created sentences in English using the present simple and frequency adverbs.
3️⃣ Correction and improvement: They checked for mistakes and improved the organization of their information. Furthermore, they also added more information to their draft
4️⃣ Final presentation: They wrote the final version and added drawings or creative details.
5️⃣ Reflection and self-assessment: They evaluated their work and thought about areas for improvement.
1️⃣ Planificación: Pensaron nas súas actividades de fin de semana e anotaron ideas.
2️⃣ Escrita do borrador: Construíron frases en inglés co presente simple e os adverbios de frecuencia.
3️⃣ Corrección e mellora: Revisaron os erros e melloraron a organización da información.
4️⃣ Presentación final: Escribiron o seu texto definitivo e engadiron ilustracións ou detalles creativos.
5️⃣ Reflexión e autoavaliación: Valoraron o seu traballo e pensaron en aspectos a mellorar.
🏆 Student Effort and Final Work
The students worked enthusiastically, using what they learned in a practical way. They produced clear and creative texts about their weekend routines, with many adding illustrations to enhance their work!
O alumnado traballou con moita ilusión, aplicando o aprendido de forma práctica. O resultado foron textos ben estruturados, onde explicaban as súas rutinas con frases claras e creativas. Moitos tamén engadiron ilustracións para facer os seus traballos máis atractivos.
🎓 What We Learned: Educational Aspects
This mission helped students:
✅ Reinforce the present simple in English.
✅ Practice frequency adverbs in a meaningful way.
✅ Improve the organization of ideas in writing.
✅ Develop their autonomy and reflection on their learning.
