A Theatrical Adventure in English: Laughter, Learning, and Excitement in Pontevedra!
Last Tuesday, the 5th and 6th-grade students had the opportunity to travel to Pontevedra to attend the performance of My Funny Frankenstein, a musical theatre show in English organized by Afundación.
This fun play tells the story of Dr. Frankenstein, a quirky scientist who creates a unique creature. Instead of a scary monster, the creature is clumsy, friendly, and funny. Through songs and humorous situations, the story teaches values like friendship, accepting differences, and being true to oneself.
The main goal of this activity is to promote English learning in a fun and engaging way, giving students the chance to hear the language in a real and dynamic context. Through theatre, children improve their listening comprehension, enhance their pronunciation, and acquire new vocabulary naturally.
In addition to the linguistic benefits, this trip allowed them to enjoy a culturally enriching experience, develop an appreciation for performing arts, and share a fun moment with their classmates outside the classroom. Without a doubt, an activity that will remain in everyone’s memories!
Unha aventura teatral en inglés: risas, aprendizaxe e emoción en Pontevedra!
O pasado martes 28, os alumnos de 5º e 6º de primaria tiveron a oportunidade de desprazarse a Pontevedra para asistir á representación da obra My Funny Frankenstein, un espectáculo de teatro musical en inglés organizado por Afundación.
Esta obra conta a historia da doutora Frankenstein, unha científica excéntrica que crea unha criatura especial. En vez de ser un monstro, o protagonista é torpe, amigable e divertido. A través de cancións e situacións cómicas, a historia transmite valores como a amizade, a aceptación das diferenzas e a importancia de ser un mesmo.
O obxectivo principal desta actividade é fomentar a aprendizaxe do inglés dun xeito lúdico e motivador, ofrecendo ao alumnado a posibilidade de escoitar a lingua en contexto real e de forma dinámica. A través do teatro, os nenos e nenas reforzan a súa comprensión oral, melloran a pronunciación e adquiren novo vocabulario de maneira natural.
Ademais dos beneficios lingüísticos, esta saída permitiulles vivir unha experiencia cultural enriquecedora, desenvolver o gusto polas artes escénicas e compartir un momento divertido cos seus compañeiros fóra da aula. Sen dúbida, unha actividade que quedará no recordo de todos!
