Hogwarts Mission 4 in Level 5 was a hard challenge but I knew they could do it. They had to search on internet for information about an animal, write a draft and create a slide show with text and images using Canva. They were delighted with this experience so, I am sure we will use this tool next year.
They organized the task following five steps.
Level 0: Warm-up activity: How can we write a good file fact?
Before starting research on the Internet, we learned what a fact file is through two previous activities that allowed us to know what is the most important information we needed to look for and how to write a short report about one specific subject( clear title, highlight an interesting fact at the top, use bullet points for clarity,consider adding pictures for engagement and include a “quick facts” section for memorable information).
Level 1: Make notes
Level 2: Write a draft
Level 3: Create a slide show
Level 4: Present your work
Thus, for each level passed, some magical lamps lighted up to mark the way. And…. we got it!
