April Fools’ Day is celebrated all around the world on April 1st of every year.
The history of April Fools´ Day only goes back to the 16th century when the “New Year” celebration was moved from April 1st to January 1st. Some people didn´t hear about this change for many years and other ignored it, so they continued to celebrate as they had always. They were called “FOOLS”.

April Fools´ Day celébrase en todo o mundo o 1 de abril. As orixes deste día remóntanse ao século XVI cando a celebración do Ano Novo pasou do 1 de abril ao 1 de xaneiro. Moita xente non escoitara este cambio e, outra ignorouno, e seguiron a festexar o Ano Novo o 1 de abril. A estas persoas chamáronas “Fools”.

In the 1500´s , some people started playing tricks on the “fools”. . At that time, the servants were masters for one day of the year. They gave orders to their masters, and their masters had to obey. Now, April Fool´s Day is different. It´s a day for jokes and tricks.

Na Idade Media, algunha xente comezou a gastar bromas aos “fools”. Por aquel entonces, os criados convertíanse en amos por un día ao ano. Daban ordes e os amos tiñan que obedecelas. Hoxe en día, April Fool´s Day é diferente. É un día para chistes e bromas.
——————————————————————April Fools´ Day is celebrated in some countries around the world.In France , April 1st is called Poisson d’Avril, which means April Fish.Children tape paper fish to their friend´s back and when they find out,the pranksters shout Poisson d’Avril!! In England , tricks can only be played in the morning.
In Mexico and Spain, April Fools´ Day is on November 28th and it´s called Day of the Holy Innocents. In Germany and Norway April Fools´ Day is celebrated twice: on April 1st and April 30th.

April Fools´ Day celébrase en todo o mundo. En Francia chámase Poisson d´Avril ou Día do Peixe pois os nenos colgan da espalda dos amigos un peixe de papel e, cando estes se decatan, bérranlles “Poisson d´Avril!!”
En Inglaterra, so se gastan bromas pola mañá.
En México e España, celebramos o Dia dos Inocentes o 28 de novembro e, en Noruega e Alemania dúas veces: o primeiro e o último día de abril.

Today we celebrated April Fools´ Day at school during the break . Students in level 3 and level 4 taped paper dolls to their friends´ back ( and even to their teachers´ back) and everybody shouted April Fools!!. It was a funny day.
